June 2024: Look alive, London! June has arrived, which means it’s only a couple of weeks until the official beginning of Summer in the City™.
The city’s parks, beer gardens and lidos and have come into their own, and everyone seems to be walking with a spring in their step, full of anticipation for a summer of day trips, picnics, barbecues and general alfresco fun.
There’s no shortage of fun to be had over the next month, from major music festivals like Meltdown and Pub in the Park, a host of outdoor theatre including West End Live and big cultural openings like the RA Summer Exhibition.
June is also a massive month for sport, with the Champions League final being hosted right here at the beginning of the month, followed by loads more footie action as Euro 2024 gets underway.
It’s also Pride month, so there’s a plethora of fabulous events taking place to celebrate London’s LGBTQ+ communities, culminating in the city’s massive Pride parade on the final weekend of June.
If you ask us, this glorious city never looks better than when you’re three Aperols down, gazing at its magnificent skyscrapers through tinted shades from the top of a rooftop bar. So get out there and enjoy it!
No matter what your vibe, tastes or interests, there is always something to do in London. When the sun’s out, London’s parks turn into leafy social clubs, restaurants dust off their outdoor seating and fountains erupt from dusty concrete squares.
