Cardinal Point is one of the new venues that recently opened at the multi-experience space Forty-Five. The venue offers a bar and a stunning al fresco terrace, providing one of the best vantage points to see the city's skyline and harbour in Central. Led by The Diplomat’s John Nugent, the bar's creative drinks programme celebrates global ingredients with innovative and retro twists.
Come by for sundowners and sip on cocktails, including their five signature tropical sippers. These include the rum-based Larry Bird ($150) with Suze Gentian, bitter bianco, and pineapple skin, and the Purple Potato Painkiller ($150) with blackstrap rum, agricole rum, imo, orange, pineapple, and coconut cream. Other interesting cocktails to try include Love & Thunder ($160), made with vodka, pisco, beetroot, dill, cacao, and makrut lime leaf, and Chips & Dip ($160), made with tequila blanco, dry vermouth, poblano, melon, citrus, and cheese nachos. Those looking for classic cocktails can also order off the menu.
The venue opens at 12pm, so you can enjoy lunch or an after-work dinner featuring global cuisine crafted by Culinary Director Rafael Gil. Guests can indulge in a variety of Asian and Western snacks and entrées, including a selection of pizzas, lamb koftas ($160), chorizo cheese bikini ($140), Pearl's fish sandwich ($200), chicken parm ($280), as well as servings of USDA prime filet mignon steak ($380 for 180g).
Cardinal Point can accommodate up to 350 guests, so it’s great for huge gatherings, especially if you’re looking to celebrate amidst great views, particularly during the golden hour.
