Father’s Day always seems to creep up fast, and we find ourselves looking for the right way to celebrate our own dads and our children’s fathers. Father’s Day is Sunday, June 16, this year and there are still plenty of ways to celebrate dad. A present or card is always appreciated, but a thoughtfully planned brunch, dinner or day-of drinks can really show the father figure in your life how much you care. Read on for our top picks this Father’s Day.

Father’s Day brunches dad will love

  • Seaport District

Sunday brunch with a twist for dads who love to play games is on at Flight Club. The Seaport “social darts” spot has an all-new weekend brunch menu with bottomless bubbles, bites and darts available every Satrday and Sunday from 11am-3pm. Play darts with dad, share a mimosa tower with the adults and munch on flatbreads, breakfast sliders and avocado toast.

Show dad he’s the tops with an adventurous brunch atop of the Prudential building. Pick up tickets to check out all the observation decks, then hit the prix-fixe brunch in the sky (reserve here) for espresso martini flights, mimosas and dishes like lobster benedict and chicken and waffles.

Sometimes dad just wants a doughnut, so Kane’s and Sam Adams have joined forces to deliver the doughnut of his dreams. Tapping into the crisp, light and slightly sweet lager taste of an all-new brew, American Light, Kane’s has created a light and airy brioche doughnut dipped in a glaze made from reduced beer and honey. It will be available at all Kane’s locations on Saturday, June 15, and Sunday, June 16.

Father’s Day dinner specials

  • Back Bay

Brought to us by restarateur Chris Himmel and chef Robert Sisca, the Banks Fish House draws inspiration from their many joint fishing trips over the years. Sound like something dad would appreciate? There's plenty of seafood on the menu for sure, but this Back Bay favorite is celebrating Father's Day with a weekend-long special featuring a 45-day dry-aged tomahawk steak. Celebrate what dad loves most (besides you, of course) with Smith & Wollensky’s swinging tomahawk steak, a showstopping 44-oz. cut perfect for sharing among family. The beef is dry-aged in-house for 28 days, allowing the natural flavors to intensify and develop. Try it with the signature "Off The Rails Old Fashioned,” a game where dad can roll dice to create a signature cocktail that’s one-of-a-kind every time.
