If you’re slightly bored of the big shopping malls and in a mood for some playful shopping, we suggest getting out there and paying a visit to our local markets – vintage flea markets, art bazaars, book fairs – name it and we probably have it.

Time to switch things up. Participate in recyclable fashion with your next one-of-a-kind find, discover new local artisans, buy a new book, and maybe even pick up a free thing or two. You’ll never know what you’ll find and who you’ll meet next!

Remember when shopping for antiques meant visiting the Sungei Road Flea Market? Well, gone are the days – or so we thought – because it looks like The Retro Factory has gone ahead and revived the spirit of an antique market again. Every month, find yourself a retro good time at Katong Square with a mix of music, art, and vintage. From indigo-dyed items, to music records, thrift stores, vintage accessories, home bakes, exotic batik, and even 100-year-old postcards! You name it, and they will probably have it. Also, not forgetting the live music by local DJs taking it away with 80s throwbacks.

Happening every first weekend of the month at Katong Square.

You guys have already heard about the recent opening of Cosford Container Park in January this year. And as if a 35,000 square feet space with 13 big-name food vendors and a rooftop bar isn’t enough to entice us already, the F&B container park has gone ahead to announce a new addition to the space: its very own monthly weekend market.

The next weekend market kicks off June 22 to 23, with an activity lineup that includes Yin Yoga and Zumba classes, as well as mixology masterclasses. Experience a tarot card reading session at Yourtarotbestie’s tarot reading booth, check out Blooms Escape’s assortment of preserved bouquets, and browse The Stars Corners’ handmade DIY accessories and gifts.

Hammocks were made for snoozing, until now that is. Every alternate Saturdays, buy clothes off hammocks at The Hammock Market. Scour through someone else’s wardrobe at the hammock section or shop curated pieces from established stores at the booths. Looking for something more than apparels? There is also an area set aside for local artisans to showcase their crafts.
